If you drive further into the Cevennes you’ll encounter splendid views and lovely natural sights. The Cevennes National Park, which is a preserved area, offers many different landscapes, from valleys with crystal clear currents to arid plateaux and relatively high mountains such as the Mont Aigoual (1565m). If you travel more in the direction of Nîmes or the Mediterranean coast, you’ll get rather quickly to a more open landscape, with gentle slopes grown with vines.

In cities such as Nîmes, Avignon and Montpellier you can enjoy culture and architecture from Roman times up until now. Uzès, Sauve and St. Hippolyte du Fort are smaller towns, but certainly worthy of a visit. The Mediterranean is only about 85km away from our campsite.
